Motion graphics animators: Clara Christine Wijaya, Ben Tepper, Kevin Lorenzi
This is a collaboration project to interpret Melbourne. The three of us have all come from different backgrounds, living in areas far away from each other. However, we all eventually ended up moving to Melbourne. Because of our different cultural background, each of us has our own different views and interpretations of the city. We decided to create an exquisite corpse style animation that showcases our different views of what we believe Melbourne to be.
Our stories and descriptions of the city are heavily based on our own personal experiences and memories. To indicate the differences in not just our interpretation of the city but also us as individuals, we decided to convey our stories through our own unique styles.
Clara achieved hers through illustration, myself through abstract photo bashing and Kevin through pixel art. To have these connected to each other, we used a matching colour scheme that builds off of each sequence.
